Antique Victorian sunglasses
A pair of antique sunglasses, the wire frame dating ca 1885 - 1900. These Victorian wire frame presecription glasses are oval in shape with a white metal frame and super thin legs with curl temples. The W or saddle bridge on the nose has no padding (not part of the design). Condition: With plenty of wear and discoloration to the wire frame, the glass with some marks of wear and age. The frame is unmarked for a maker or material. Unknown prescription (not very strong) The hinges work well.
Size: 4-3/4 inches wide x 1-1/4 inches high. Each glass is 1-5/8 inches wide and 1-1/4 inch high. The glasses are 7/8 inches apart on the nose. The legs are 4-1/2 inches to the bow (can be altered by bending the legs)
