Antique Apothecary Mortar and Pestle, TM & S Thomas Maddock and Son Large Size 7
A stunning antique mortar and pestle set made by Thomas Maddock and Sons at the turn of the 20th century in Trenton, NJ. Made of a soft satin finish biscuit porcelain, it is impressed with the markings “WARRANTED TM&S ACID PROOF” (very worn) and the number “7”. It includes the matching pestle with unstained wood handle. There are no chips or cracks to the mortar (bowl), only normal wear and light staining. The pestle with some chips along the rim, but otherwise whole.
Size: 10" diameter, 5.5 inches tall. The pestle is 9.5 inches long.
