Antique coral stickpin, Victorian lapel pin, Protection from evil, good luck charm
A great looking Victorian lapel pin, the wrought pin in a gold washed metal, the small piece of genuine red coral held by a rose gold washed 'nail'. Coral brooches were thought to keep the wearer safe from evil and illness and were very popular in the Victorian Era - circa 1890s
The last photo shows other pins I currently have for sale.
Good, the leg a slight bent and the metal with age related stains.
6.2 cm long
