Art Deco photograph Sally O'Neil
A great image of Sally O'Neil. This is an original period photograph (not a copy or digital printout), with signs of age and some damages but overall still a stunner! There is some discoloration, a few lines where it was once in a frame and a few shallow dented lines. This is a nice heavy photographic paper so there are not too many handling marks.
This image would date from the (late) 1920's and was likely to have been used as a promotional image for Sally O'Neil or the show she featured in. It would look amazing when framed!
To make matters a little confusing - the back of the image has the name ' Sally O'Day' written in pencil. Sally O'Neil and her sister Molly O'Day were very popular the silent movie era (1920's) and her sister Molly even has a star on the walk of Fame.
Paper size: 27.8 x 35.5 (the image a little smaller)
