Vintage Wayne Clark jumpsuit size S, Canadian designer black jumpsuit women

  • $000 CAD

A gorgeous vintage jumpsuit by Wayne Clark - aline marelle - the cut and drama of this piece are a joy to behold! In a stretchy black, this piece dates from the 1980's. In is in good wearable vintage condition - there are several areas with (small) damages. There is wear along the satin edging, some of the threads holding the pleating on the neckline has gone and I have found a few little holes in the fabric throughout the suit.
This suit is definately for the shorter ladies - with my 5'9" I almost dislocated my shoulder trying to get in and out of this suit! So, please check my measurements below to ensure a good fit. All measurements in inches.

Wayne Clark, fashion designer (b at Drumheller, Alta 13 Nov 1949). He apprenticed with Savile Row icon Hardy Amies in London, England, for 18 months and worked as an assistant costume designer on the film The Romantic Englishwoman. Clark designed for manufacturer Aline Marelle when he returned to Toronto in 1977.
After establishing his own company (1989), Wayne Clark assumed total responsibility for his label, selling in Canada and the US. Clark is noted for his dramatic bias-cut evening gowns and well-tailored sportswear of high quality. His designs have graced many red carpets and have attracted a strong celebrity following that includes Jane Fonda, Cindy Crawford, Rihanna, Sarah POLLEY and Vivica A. Fox. The one common thread that has continued to run through all of Wayne Clark’s work and indeed his career, has been elegant tasteful style, absolute perfectionism and a desire to dance to his own tune. This has worked in step with consistently elevating his international reputation for traffic stopping red carpet worthy gowns.
