Minton china soup plate for Birks, hand painted porcelain plate with laurel, bows and roses
A pretty china plate by Minton of England, also bearing the retail mark of Birks. This hand coloured soup plate has been decorated with garlands of roses and other flower and includes little 'portrait' ovals of roses under yellow strung bows on a laurel edge. The back stamp dates this plate between 1891 and 1912. Apart from a few utensil marks in the bowl and rubbing along the edge, this plate is in good condition. Size: 8-5/8 inches diameter, 1-5/8 inches high. Weight: 430 grams
