Reclining woman - Colourful painting of a woman resting - Original oil painting by Carole Walker 1989
A simply vibrant painting of a woman at rest - the vivid colours are not only reflected in her skin, her eyes, her hair and her nails but all around her. In warm shades of yellow, amber, pinks and blues, the artist has imaginatively captured a lot of movement within a resting pose.
This beauty has been signed on the front 'Walker 89' and 'Carole Walker Oct 1989' to the back. I found a small sticker on the back with the number 8, which may indicate a gallery appearance at some point. It has been elegantly framed in a slim square wooden frame. The canvas has been hand-stretched and underneath the canvas we find written 'reclining woman' - no doubt the title to this piece.
Condition: With some crackling to the paint and a few losses of colour to her upper arm and cheek. The frame with a scuff / some chipping to the top.
Size: 25-1/2 x 22-3/4 inches. The painting is only slightly smaller at 22 x 25"
