Simple wooden storage box, cardbox, cigarette case
A clean and simple wooden storage box, great for playing cards or business card, or to keep your cigarettes or rolling tobacco. It closes with a simple violin case hook, which in itself dates this item to ca 1880-1900. The wooden construction is held together with small brass nails. There is a bit of green felt inside the cracked lid and some pencil scribbling underneath the varnish on the bottom.
Condition: with a crack on the lid and some scuffing to the varnish, most notably on the lid. Signs of age and wear all-over.
