Victorian sterling silver ring dish, love bird bath trinket dish
A pretty and romantic sterling silver pin dish or ring dish, shaped like a bird bath on pedestal, with 2 pairs of love birds snuggling on each side. A perfect present for a spouse, or as a gift for a wedding or anniversary. The side is marked for what looks like 'sterling' and 925, but overall the item looks to have been hollow cast and then filled (so it's sterling silver, but not solid silver). The little birds are lovingly made, one pair has the beaks touching, the other does not. The inside of the 'bird bath' is filled with 'stones'. Very sweet and great for a few small items of jewelry. It is in great condition with some discoloration to the metal and a few tiny dents overall, nothing major or eye catching. This item dates late 1800's - early 1900s.
Size: 3-1/8 inches tall, 3-1/4 inches wide on the bowl, 4-3/8 inches wide on the birds.
